INFINIDEX WINS 4th ANNUAL JUNGLE BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION

Harvard Business School takes 1st and 2nd place

In the toughest ever pitch-off, involving a record number of submissions, Harvard Business School swept to victory in the 4th annual Jungle Business Plan Competition.

Presented by Fenwick & West, and Sponsored by Intel Capital, the event attracted over 300 submissions from over 1,000 people representing business schools from around the world. 32 teams were selected as semi-finalists, pitching live in front of a judging panel loaded with heavy hitters from Fenwick & West, Intel Capital, Sequoia Venture Capital, Goldman Sachs, Merant, Allegis Capital, Pequot Ventures, and other top VC and investment firms. The live pitch-off in Silicon Valley was the culmination of a year-long event run by the publishers of ASME-nominated Jungle Magazine.

The winning team, Infinidex, has developed an application which helps a corporation’s employees locate the contacts they need through people they know. By structuring the hundreds of thousands of latent business relationships scattered throughout the firm’s e-mail databases, Infinidex provides tools that boost close rates, shorten sales cycles, reduce discounting and assist in related business goals.

Infinidex won $35,000 of cash and legal services, while runner up Extend Fertility won $15,000 in legal services. Fenwick & West, a leading law firm and the presenting sponsor, agreed to provide the legal services to the winners.
